Hartell homesteads goal is to provide truly local Meat produce eggs and honey directly to you. As part of our philosophy, we have a deep respect for nature’s ways, which is why all of our meat and produce are farmed locally ( or on site) and responsibly raised to be sustainable to our land. We only sell whatever is in season, so you can be sure that anything you buy at hartell homestead is freshly picked.
Local heritage pork
From F4 ranches
Our pork all comes from F4 ranches and hand raised by Cody. he truly has a passion to raise the best pork and has cross bred his pigs with wild boar as well as mangalica to produce well marbled and pork that is out of this world.
Local Ranch Raised Beef
Both grain and grass finished
Our ranch raised beef is raised by producers in the foothills and all truly local. All of our beef will be labeled with the ranches name as well as tag of animal to truly know where you food comes from and keep the best quality.
Farm Fresh Eggs
Chickens and ducks will be laying again spring of 2023! Fresh as you can get our eggs are laid right here on the homestead, we have Rhode Island Reds that lay us a constant supply of eggs. Our chickens live in a chicken tractor that allows them to intensively graze our pastures in the summer months and get to be free range through our Alberta winters.

There are lots to choose from, and our offerings change depending on the time of year so you’ll always be surprised when you visit us. Highland beef

The figureheads of the Hartell Homestead are definitely our Highland cattle. even though they are super adorable they also produce some of the best beef on the market, their thick hair coat makes it an extremely lean beef, that is actually classified as a heart healthy. best way to describe the meat is it is a lot like moose. coming in 2022

Buy our Seasonal Veggies to truly enjoy what nature has to offer! Since 2020, we’ve strived to supply the foothills with fresh locally grown produce . We make huge efforts so that we can guarantee that everything we sell at Hartell Homestead is 100% natural. Due to our efforts, we are able to assure you that all of our produce contains the healthy nutrients and are fresh from the farm.
Bison
1907 Bison
1907 Ranch runs purebred plains bison. They are 100% grassfed. The name 1907 comes from when bison were introduced into Canada and since then we have seen great growth in the population.
